Counseling for College Students in San Luis Obispo

Support for anxiety, relationships, and the big transitions that college brings

You're capable, driven, and managing more than people realize. And somewhere between classes, new relationships, and being away from home, it can start to feel like a lot. Therapy gives you a space to work through it with confidence, clarity, and connection.

Whether you're at Cal Poly, Cuesta, or somewhere else, you don't have to figure it out alone. Sessions are available in person in San Luis Obispo and online throughout California, Washington, Florida, and South Carolina.

Many clients use HSA or FSA funds to pay for sessions. I don’t bill insurance directly, but if you’d like to use out-of-network benefits, I provide superbills through the client portal. You can submit this to your insurance company to ask about reimbursement. Sessions are billed under CPT code 90847 (family/couples therapy) or 90837 (individual therapy).

Yes. Research consistently shows that therapy helps people reduce anxiety, improve relationships, and build healthier patterns. People who get the most out of therapy find a therapist they feel comfortable with and practice new skills outside of sessions. Think of therapy like working with a trainer. I'll help you build on your strengths, develop new skills, and you'll get stronger over time by practicing in your day-to-day life.

Yes. Online sessions are conducted virtually through secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Online therapy offers convenience, flexible scheduling, and the same evidence-based care as in-person sessions (all without a commute).
